TobySoft's Upgrade manager application alerts the user to any upgrades to TobySoft utilities. It runs automatically on boot-up as an icon in the system tray (on the Windows task bar next to the clock) and connects to the TobySoft Website when an internet connection is detected.
Run
the installation program and follow the on-screen instructions.
Select TobySoft Upgrade Manager from Windows Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs.
1. Double click on tsum.exe or select it from the Windows Start Button|Programs. Ordinarily this won't be necessary, but it's required now because the program hasn't automatically run yet. The program sets up the Registry entries for auto-running at boot-up when it's run for the first time.
2. In the system tray (next to the clock) there should be an icon of the TobySoft cat. This icon will have a red background if there isn't an internet connection, or a green background if there is.

Right-click this icon and
you'll see two menu options:

Left-click
Restore Upgrade Manager and you'll get a window similar to this if there
isn't an internet connection:
or this if there is an internet connection:

This list shows all available TobySoft utilities, the version you have installed (the box is blank if it isn't installed), and the latest version available. If there are upgrades available, then the row(s) will be highlighted in yellow and clicking the row will take you to the appropriate download page on the TobySoft website.
Upgrade Manager sits in the System Tray and connects to the TobySoft Website only when an internet connection is detected. If there are upgrades available, the main window will appear. You can force Upgrade Manager to check for updates by right-clicking the icon in the System Tray, left-clicking Restore Upgrade Manager, and left-clicking the Manually Check for Updates button. An internet connection will then be initiated.
The
menu option Exit Upgrade Manager (right-click the icon in the system tray) exits the program.
